Korgos, located at the crossroads of China and Kazakhstan, is not just a free trade zone — it's a powerful symbol of the modern Silk Road. Both Ulusoy and Serdar spent several years operating in Korgos, building networks and executing complex logistics and trade operations in a challenging yet opportunity-rich environment.
💡 What They Learned — and Brought to Tacas
Real-time problem solving: Operating in Korgos required navigating language barriers, customs complexities, and infrastructure gaps — all of which sharpened their adaptability.
Trust-based business culture: In frontier markets like Korgos, success depends not just on contracts but on relationships. This philosophy now forms the core of Tacas Global’s approach to partnerships.
Firsthand experience with Chinese trade flows: From train shipments to bonded warehouses, their involvement gave them deep insight into the mechanics of Chinese outbound trade — knowledge now embedded in every Tacas project.
Seeing both sides of the border: By working with Kazakh, Chinese, and Turkish stakeholders, they learned to bridge not only geographies but also cultures and regulatory frameworks.
Today, Tacas Global leverages this frontier-market experience to guide companies into even more complex regions like Xinjiang, Western China, and Central Asia. The lessons learned at Korgos allow us to build practical, agile, and scalable trade solutions for our clients.
"Korgos taught us that international trade is not just about goods — it's about resilience, relationships, and readiness to adapt. Tacas Global is built on that very foundation."— Ulusoy & Serdar, Co-Founders
